[new_royalslider id=”41″]

Exactly one day before the premiere of SportsNet LA, Time Warner Cable has finally announced the channels that viewers can watch the new network on. On Monday morning, TWC announced SportsNet LA can officially be seen on channel  431 in high definition while it’ll be on channel 249 in standard definition.

SportsNet LA will debut on Tuesday and the Dodgers first game of spring training will be on Wednesday. So far, every Time Warner Cable subscriber will be able to keep up with the Dodgers for the all their games unless they’ll be on ESPN or FOX.

A lot of hype has surrounded the premiere of the network with Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully helping out with the channel launch. A huge obstacle arises for every cable subscriber that doesn’t have Time Warner Cable. SportsNet LA has yet to make any deals with other cable distributors, such as DirecTV, AT&T U-Verse, and Cox Communications. A deal will almost likely not be made with these cable providers prior to Wednesday’s first spring training game, but the priority will be to make sure these contracts are signed before the Opening Day on March 22.

  1. The guy who’s picking the live feed of a Dodger game needs to know that showing Gordon on first in a potential steal situation, or anyone, with the camera pointed from second base on him and not seeing the pitcher is ridiculous. Show it from the third base side like they have done for 60 years so you can see the pitcher and the runner at the same time.
