With the trade deadline approaching, the Los Angeles Dodgers are a team in the middle of multiple trade rumors.

According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Dodgers were making calls to executives of other team to gauge their interest in outfielder Matt Kemp. Dave Stewart, Kemp’s agent, feels that it may be a good thing if Kemp and the Dodgers parted ways.

Kemp is in his eighth season with the Dodgers and is batting .273 with eight home runs and 40 RBIs. However, Kemp has changed outfield positions multiple times this season and his desire remains to return to center field.

Manager Don Mattingly has said Kemp’s wish won’t be fulfilled and it’s reportedly caused a disconnect between the two. Another incentive to trade the veteran outfielder is the rising performance of Triple-A center field prospect Joc Pederson
