Dodgers News And Rumors: Team Still Talking To Young, Brooklyn Nets Honor Dodgers

Michael YoungFormer Los Angeles Angels All-Star Chone Figgins was signed to a minor-league deal with an invite to spring training last night, but that hasn’t stopped the Los Angeles Dodgers from remaining in talks with another infielder.

The team is still in talks with veteran Michael Young to come back for another season with the team. He finished the season with the Dodgers and has been considering retirement. Infield depth is the Dodgers’ biggest weakness heading into the 2014 season and Young would likely garner a spot over Dee Gordon, Miguel Rojas and Figgins.

Young may be the team’s last hope in finding a capable infielder due to a weak free agent pool.

This season, the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA will honor the Brooklyn Dodgers with uniforms using the same color scheme as the former New York team. Grey and blue jerseys will be worn by the Nets in five games this season as they’ll have “Brooklyn Blue Nights” themed nights at Barclays Center this season.
