Dodgers News: Andrew Friedman Is MLB’s Most Fascinating
The 2016 season was all about the Chicago Cubs but the Los Angeles Dodgers made an impact with their front office starting with Andrew Friedman. The Dodgers led the majors with the highest payroll since the 2014 season.
During the offseason, the organization was in a financial struggle but re-signed Rich Hill, Kenley Jansen, and Justin Turner for a total of $192 million.
According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, Andrew Friedman is the 2017 model of Theo Epstein.
“When Andrew Friedman joined the Dodgers as president of baseball operations after the 2014 season and surrounded himself with former general managers, he forged the most expensive front office ever and one expected to give Los Angeles cutting-edge thinking combined with deeper pockets than any team,” wrote Sherman.
Will Friedman take the same risks like he did in the 2016 season?
