Dodgers News: Brandon McCarthy Placed on Disabled List

Prior to Monday’s game against the Angels, the Dodgers’ executed a series of roster moves that included Brandon McCarthy being put on the 10-day disabled list.

McCarthy has been solid year round until this last start where he struggled to hit the strike zone, giving up five runs in three innings walking two in three innings. He will receive a much-needed rest and hopes to bounce back soon. In addition to McCarthy getting rest, Ross Stripling was optioned to Triple-A and in exchange for the two roster spots, the Dodgers recalled Brock Stewart and Trayce Thompson. We have not yet seen Trayce in the show this year, but last year he earned fans hearts with his clutch bat hitting a couple walks off knocks.

Tonight the Dodgers will go up against the Angels in hopes to get back into the win column behind Kenta Maeda.
