Dodgers News: Dodgers Activate Cody Bellinger

The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated rookie sensation and first baseman, Cody Bellinger, before Wednesday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Catcher Kyle Farmer has been optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City to make room for Bellinger on the 25-man roster.

Bellinger has been out with an ankle injury that he suffered playing right field against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park, ten days ago. He did not go on an official rehab assignment, but he did play in an Arizona League game last night, where he blasted a three-run home run, before reuniting with the team, today in Phoenix.

The Dodgers lineup has had an obvious hole without Cody Bellinger in the number four spot. He seems to be the glue that holds the top half and bottom half of the lineup together.

Here is the lineup for tonight’s game against left-hander Robbie Ray:

Curtis Granderson has been dropped to the number eight spot in the lineup.

Alex Wood to start Sunday
