Dodgers News: Dodgers Lose First Series Since June

“Can’t win them all…” I don’t like that. The Dodgers surrender the first series since the beginning of June. The Dodger bats are cooling down.

The Dodgers lost in back to back games when the Dodgers’ pitchers only surrender 3 runs. Everyone has grown so familiar with the Dodgers’ putting up 6 or 7 runs a game no problem. However, the Brewers seem to have solved the Dodgers’ bats. After being no hit into the 6th inning the Dodgers were able to break through and put up 2 runs behind the Justin Turner double. After that, they were shut down.

Yu Darvish went 5 innings let go 6 hits and three runs while striking out seven. The Dodgers’ bullpen was the highlight for them today, keeping the Dodgers’ in the game going 4 shut out innings striking out seven of their own. The Dodgers offense had a hard time getting it going, not one player had a multi hit game as the main catalysts struggled; leaving a total of 14 runners on base. Fortunately, the Dodgers can afford to lose a couple. They currently sit 19 games in first with 91 wins and 38 losses. A .705 winning percentage.

Luckily, the Dodgers’ lineup with receive the presence of Bellinger this week. Cody, who has been sidelined with an ankle sprain for a week now. The Dodgers have missed his power and presence in the lineup as they show signs of a cold streak. In addition to Bellinger returning, Darvish made his return today, and Kershaw is set to return Friday.
