Dodgers News: Dodgers Trade Chris Hatcher to the Oakland A’s

The Los Angeles Dodgers have made a trade with the Oakland Athletics today.

Relief pitcher Chris Hatcher has officially been traded to the Oakland Athletics for international amateur signing bonus pool space.

Utility man Rob Segedin has been activated from the 60-day disabled list and he will be taking Hatcher’s spot on the roster. Segedin had just finished his rehab assignment after missing nearly all of 2017 due to injuries.

Chris Hatcher was never a fan favorite in Los Angeles as he struggled for nearly the entirety of his tenure. Hatcher has been sidelined due to an injury, but was just activated before Sunday’s finale against the San Diego Padres.

Hatcher owns a career 4.72 earned run average and his numbers were just about on the same level when he was healthy in 2017. With all of the strength in the Dodger bullpen this season, there just wasn’t any room for him on their roster.
