Dodgers News: Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda Remains Hospitalized but Improving

The legendary Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda has been on the minds of many over the last two weeks after it was announced that he was hospitalized with health issues. Now, ESPN is reporting that the Hall-of-Famer’s condition is improving.

Los Angeles Dodgers spokesman Steve Brener said Tuesday that the team’s 93-year-old former manager has been taking online calls from former players and coaches at a hospital in Orange County.

For Dodgers fans, an extended World Series celebration took a back seat to the health concerns of the 93-year-old LA icon. Tommy managed the Dodgers from 1976-1996 when a heart attack forced him into retirement. Since then, he’s remained active with the organization that drafted him as a left-handed pitcher in Brooklyn in the 1940’s.

Our thoughts continue to be with Tommy and his family as he battles his way back to good health.
