From first hand experience I can tell you this news is a comfort in a week of sadness. While all Dodgers and Dodger fans have learned this week that baseball isn’t just a game, compared to this news it is just a game. The excitement and joy of expecting your first child is second to none. An early off-season isn’t what any Dodger or Dodger fan wanted, but at least our Korean Monster can be around a little more for Bae Ji Hyun as the pregnancy progresses. This extra support is not only paramount and helpful, it helps build the bond.

Hyun-Jin Ryu is headed for free agency for the first time in his career. He will turn 33 in March. The questions will abound soon. Will he stay in LA? How much will he get paid by LA or otherwise? In 2019 he certainly earned being in the conversation for the Cy Young award. He also won an ERA title. Hyun-Jin Ryu will be commanding quite a big pay check. Will the Dodgers pay up?
