Dodgers News: Hyun-Jin Ryu to DL With Left Hip Contusion

Hyun-Jin Ryu has been placed on the 10-day disabled the day after a promising appearance on Sunday afternoon against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Ryu will be going on the disabled list due to a left hip contusion.

Dave Roberts believes that it is not anything too serious and that Hyun-Jin should only miss one round in the rotation.

With an off day coming up, the Dodgers will either add Rich Hill or just hold on to the extra man in the bullpen.

The injury to Ryu apparently occurred when he slid into second base on Sunday during a double play after he had hit a single.
