Dodgers News: Julio Urias “I’m Just Trying to Keep Working”

The Los Angeles Dodgers began their six game home stand vs. the Atlanta Braves on Friday. Pitcher Julio Urias was at Dodger Stadium following his second major league start on the road vs. the Chicago Cubs.

Urias was seen running the steps at Dodger Stadium during pregame.

He also spoke to the media prior to Kenta Maeda taking the mound vs. the Braves about being called up by the Dodgers.

“In all honest I’m very happy taking on any opportunity they give me here. This is a dream come true,” Urias told reporters. “I’m just trying to keep working.”

It seems Urias understands the opportunity he has in front of him and is ready to take on the challenge.

“The truth is this is a dream come true and I’ve worked extremely hard to get here and now that I’m here I have to work twice as hard to establish myself here.”

Manager Dave Roberts announced on Friday Urias is slated to have his home debut with the Dodgers on Tuesday vs. the Colorado Rockies.
