Dodgers News: Kenta Maeda Replaces Jose De Leon on the Mound
The Dodgers are making a slight change to their pitching rotation tonight against the San Diego Padres. Jose De Leon was scheduled to pitch tonight, but now Kenta Maeda will be getting the start. De Leon will now be pitching tomorrow night.

Even though the Dodgers have already clinched the division, they are still battling for home field advantage in the playoffs. They are one game back of the NL East Champion Washington Nationals, so the team can’t sit back and relax just yet.
Maeda has similar pitching splits both at home and away, so the Dodgers seem to be more comfortable opening up the series with the consistent veteran.

Yasmani Grandal is the Dodgers’ main threat against San Diego. According to ESPN.com, Grandal has given Padres’ pitchers nightmares all season long. Grandal has a .410 average with 16 hits, 6 HRs, and 14 RBIs, in 40 at bats against San Diego.
