Los Angeles Dodgers rookie, Cody Bellinger, has been catching a lot of attention since his major league debut last Tuesday. The 21-year-old left fielder is hitting a .320 average and had an exciting game on Saturday, June 29, when he hit his first two career home runs.
But his major league trip maybe ending soon.
“I hear you…he is playing well but we have good players that are coming back,” said Dodgers manager Dave Roberts in an interview with AM570 Sports.
There is no doubt that Bellinger has brought a certain something to the majors and Roberts agrees.
“For Cody, we know as an organization that the fans have heard, the media have heard, what we feel internally about Cody,” said Roberts. “He brings energy, athleticism, every swing he that gets in motion, something special can happen.”
Roberts expressed that these decisions with Bellinger will take place day-by-day. As for today, Bellinger will be in the lineup for Tuesday’s night game.
