Dodgers News: Max Muncy Will Not Be With the Team This Weekend

The Dodgers will need to get the job done without Max.

The Dodgers will look to rebound in a big way against the Rockies this week after losing 3 of 4 to the Giants. Losing 2 consecutive games when leading after 8 innings can really take a toll on a team. But with Colorado in town, it’s a good chance to right the ship.

Unfortunately, the Dodgers will have to get the job done without Max Muncy. The slugging first baseman will head to Phoenix to be with his wife as the couple welcomes their first child into the world. Luckily the team has been planning ahead on this for a few weeks.

Luke Raley is with the team in Los Angeles right now, and it would make sense the Dodgers would activate him while Muncy is out. But Max will only be out through Sunday as Dave Roberts confirmed he will be back with them on Tuesday in San Francisco.

While we’re happy for the Muncy family and can’t wait for them to welcome their first child, losing him does hurt. Muncy is absolutely crushing the ball this year and has been one of the most valuable bats in the league. But the Dodgers know family comes first and can’t wait to see the happy family.

The Dodgers will be playing the 4th place Rockies who carry a record of 42-54 this year. Los Angeles has won 8 of 10 games against Colorado this year.

  1. Lol planning ahead and then says Luke Raley will be here. Great plan. Hey Muncy hope you enjoy returning to a nice big deficit in the standings, the only guy who’s shown any passion during this sh*t show stretch and now he’s gone leaving zero offense in the lineup

    • It might have helped had Dodgers been able to hold on and win these last 2 games they had NO business losing. Don, your descr iption of this …..show by this team is right on the money!

  2. You are totally right about Muncey being the only one that shows passion/emotion on the field. Our so called manager just has blank stare, much like Bellinger.

  3. Creo que esos cuatro es muy notorio deberían traer un cerrador y un shorts stop .x ejemplo está Javi Báez que juega todo el cuadro y buen bat y cerrador kimbrel…
