Dodgers News: MLB Network to Debut Vin Scully Documentary on Monday

MLB Network made an announcement that is sure to make Dodgers fans happy. The baseball network will be debuting a new series titled “The Sounds of Baseball.” The first episode will be centered around the legendary Vin Scully.

The series will act as more of an appreciation of legendary broadcasters than a true documentary. MLB Network will showcase the greatest calls and moments from iconic Major League Baseball play-by-play broadcasters in its new original series The Sounds Of Baseball, co-hosted by MLB Network host and 2018 Ford C. Frick Award winner Bob Costas and MLB Network’s Tom Verducci.

Vin Scully was the play-by-play announcer for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers for 67 years. He called all six of the Dodgers’ World Series titles, including Brooklyn’s first and only title in 1955.

The episode will be on at 5 pm PT on Monday, June 8, and again at 9 pm. It will show once more at 3 am PT on Tuesday morning.
