Dodgers News: Mookie Betts Comes Out Clean in Return, Set to Start in Center Field
Usually, when you’re missing an MVP in the lineup, you struggle to win ballgames. For the Dodgers, they’ve hardly missed a beat while missing both Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger. Thankfully for LA, Betts made his return to the lineup on Tuesday and didn’t miss a beat.
The All-Star outfielder connected on his second home run of the season in a 7-0 win over the Colorado Rockies and played 8 innings on defense before coming out of the game in the 9th. After the game, manager Dave Roberts confirmed that everything is fine with the right fielder.
Dave Roberts said that he did not hear any complaints from Mookie, so sounds like he is doing well.
Doc said he'll be back out there tomorrow.

I didn’t hear anything, so I think that’s a good thing. He looked like he was moving well. Took some good swings… he’ll be in center field tomorrow.
Notably, the last time Betts played center (last week), he missed the next 4 games. However, before the game, Mookie confirmed that his back injury wasn’t brought on by playing in center or anything else in particular.
Roberts eventually added that Mookie will likely sit on Thursday before the team travels to San Diego for a 3 game set against the rival Padres.
