Dodgers News: Mookie Betts Held Out of Lineup for Second Day in a Row

The Dodgers had All-Star outfielder Mookie Betts in the lineup for Saturday afternoon’s matchup against the Guardians at Dodger Stadium. However, for the second day in a row, Betts was a late scratch.

Manager Dave Roberts said before the game that Mookie is dealing with the after effects of an outfield collision with Cody Bellinger on Wednesday night. This resulted in a rib contusion.

Trea Turner batted in the leadoff position for the second day in a row.

Betts has struggled in the month of June after an electric May that saw him nearly take home the NL Player of the Month award.
