Dodgers News: Pedro Baez Plays Catch With Fan
Pedro Baez has been a staple in your Dodgers diet since 2014. It’s almost hard to believe.
Sometimes, we get so caught up in statistics or standings; we forget to stop and smell the roses. Therefore – we present you with some roses – Baez playing catch with a young fan at Dodger Stadium during batting practice.

Certainly, if you are lucky enough to get in early to attend Dodgers batting practice you will find him. While the Dodgers hit – he’s always in the same spot – usually surrounded by pal Yimi Garcia. It is during these times that left field is the pasture that Pedro roams.
Really – Baez was an elite reliever in 2018 – especially down the stretch and in the postseason. Now in 2019, he sports a 3.10 ERA in 20.1 innings pitched; numbers on track to be plenty Baezian. Of course this includes the friendly 20 strikeouts to just four walks.
And for warming up the youngster in left before the ballgame with a little pitch and catch, we say good on you Pedro! Perhaps we don’t say it enough, but it’s good to have the 31-year old veteran reliever in the bullpen, providing stability most of the time.
It’s also great to see Baez interact with fans in a behind the scenes moment.
