In what has been an INSANELY busy week for the Dodgers and baseball in general, it’s easy to get lost and miss some big time news stories.
For examples, the Astros’ cheating scandal had a wild week, still leading the way for the biggest sports story out there. First, over the weekend, the Wall Street Journal shed more light on some things the MLB report missed. Our friend Jomboy helped sort it all out.
After this hit, a report broke that both the Dodgers and MLB villain Alex Cora helped the Washington Nationals in the World Series.
Then the big one hit. The Astros plainly swung and missed at their first opportunity to handle this scandal at spring training.
In more positive news, the Dodgers finally got their man!
At an introductory press conference this week, there was plenty said about the addition of Mookie Betts, and David Price.
Importantly, while there’s a noticeable buzz in the air (not like the one under Altuve’s jersey) with Betts and Price heading to camp with the Dodgers, we did lose at least one very important piece of the 2019 team.
While that trade is over and done, another trade that did not happen became real awkward and uncomfortable for most involved.
Speaking of awkward, manager Dave Roberts addressed an elephant in the room on day 0.
