With Julio Urías being reinstated from administrative leave this morning, the media has been able to gather a solid base of quotes from Andrew Friedman, Dave Roberts, and Julio Urías himself regarding the situation.

As you know, Julio Urías was arrested a last week on suspicion of a domestic violence incident.

To start, here is what Andrew Friedman had to say regarding the situation, courtesy of The Athletic’s Pedro Moura:

Friedman’s quote demonstrates a bit of what we already know in that the organization cannot speak much on the incident. However, some positivity is hinted at here with Friedman explaining that Urías being reinstated in quick fashion ‘says something’. It does. Although it may mean that more likely than not, Urías is fine, it does not mean anything concrete.

Dave Roberts sounded off and gave some insight into Urías’ thought process:

The fact that Julio actually had the sense to address his teammates is a very mature step in the right direction. Good on Julio.

He also made a statement regarding his readiness for big-league action and his potential role with the team upon his return:

Julio Urías provided a few important quotes as well:

Julio Urías fully cooperating with Major League Baseball is good to hear even though it should be a sure thing in his case. If Julio is of course not found guilty of any wrong-doing, we as fans should welcome him back with open arms as well.

Urías provides a much-needed bullpen addition to a weak ‘pen already. He alludes to the fact that he has already gone through a lot in his career and that this accusation and arrest have only added to the difficulties.

Let’s just hope that Urías is innocent. If he is not, it is clearly not out of the realm of possibility that Urías does get cut with how Andrew Friedman has claimed to operate in the past regarding the nixed Aroldis Chapman trade for his domestic violence case as well as the more recent Addison Russell case.

In the interim, we’ll do our best to focus on baseball.
