If there’s a single entity synonymous with a professional organization, it’s Vin Scully and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Thursday evening, Scully will be interviewed on SportsNet LA by Alanna Rizzo, but the teaser for the show already has Dodgers fans buzzing.
For each of the last few seasons, Scully’s return has been somewhat in question. He already doesn’t call each game and is 87 years old (but looks better than any of us can hope to at that age).

Here he is on his return:
“Maybe because it’s my last year, I’m looking forward to it as much as my second year, because I got by the first year and I was so thrilled that there was another one coming up – well that’s how I feel about ’16. I’m chafing at the bit.”
The feeling is mutual, Vin.
Almost right after the regular season ended, Scully underwent a medical procedure that kept him from calling playoff games, so some wondered whether he might make it back for 2016. It’s great to see him looking as vivacious as ever and hear that incredible voice announce how excited he is to return.
Rizzo’s interview with Scully will air at 7:00 PM PDT on SportsNet LA and is a two part series.
Below is the video of Vin originally announcing his intent to return next year featuring Jimmy Kimmel and a few signs. This was a great moment in a season filled with them.
