Dodgers News: Yasmani Grandal’s Home Run Caps 6-run Fifth

The Los Angeles Dodgers offense awoke against the Diamondbacks’ Shelby Miller in the 6th inning of Sunday afternoon’s game in Arizona.

The inning began when Dodgers’ starter Brandon McCarthy worked a walk, which visibly rattled Shelby Miller.

Joc Pederson came to the plate and got ahead in the count before the pitching coach came out to check on Miller, which ultimately did not help at all as Pederson drew a walk immediately after.

Corey Seager then came to the plate and hit a rocket of a double in the left-center field gap, scoring McCarthy with Pederson following him on an error that was given to Brandon Drury.

The Diamondbacks then made a pitching change, replacing Shelby Miller with Randall Delgado.

Justin Turner came to the plate and banged a single to center that was hit so hard, it was unable to score Seager from second.

The ‘butter and egg’ man Adrian Gonzalez proceeded to hit a long fly ball off of the left field wall that scored Seager and Turner.

And then to cap it all off, Yasmani Grandal hit a bullet of a home run into right-center field, capping off the Dodgers biggest offensive inning of 2016.

Dodgers rotation is surprising early weakness
