Dodgers Option J.T. Chargois

Before their series finale against the Rockies, the Dodgers made a move regarding the bullpen.

On the year, Chargois is 2-1 with a 4.76 ERA. In 17 innings, he has 23 strikeouts. The righty has struggled as of late, though. Over his last 3.2 innings pitched, the 27-year old has allowed seven runs. Prior to this rough stretch, he had allowed only two runs over the course of 13 innings.

Meanwhile, Edward Paredes will rejoin the ball club. The left-hander has appeared in one game for the Dodgers this year, where he threw 0.2 innings of no-hit ball. In the minors this year, Paredes is 2-2 with a 1.17 ERA. He has 19 strikeouts in 15.1 innings of relief.

Analysis

It was not too long ago the Dodgers bullpen was receiving a hefty amount of criticism. Although they still aren’t exactly where we’d like them to be, they definitely have improved over the last couple of weeks. It will be interesting to see if Paredes can continue the success he’s had so far in OKC and become a reliable piece in the backend of that bullpen.
