Dodgers Pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu Hits First Home Run of Season as Babe Ryuth

In a year where Hyun-Jin Ryu has made headlines with his arm, many in the Dodgers organization have said to watch out what he can do with his bat. So much so, we came out with a shirt to help inspire the Korean Monster.

In the series finale with the Colorado Rockies, Ryu unloaded his first solo shot of the season to tie the game at one on a 94 mph fast ball from Antonio Senzatela.

The stats behind Ryu’s homer came out to be:

  • Distance 389 ft
  • Exit Velocity: 101mph
  • Launch Angle: 30.4°

It sounds even better in Korean:

  1. Thought this was Ryu’s 2nd homerun of the season. Saw him hit a homer a while ago. Maybe pre-season?
