Dodgers Players Show Some Support for LA All-Star Hopefuls

The Dodgers are hoping to have a few guys make the NL All-Star team this year. With Los Angeles set to host, there is no better year for them to stack the roster. But fans are going to have to get their votes in if they want a few starters on the field.

Trea Turner was the leading shortstop and Mookie Betts briefly led all players in votes during phase one of voting. For the moment, Dansby Swanson holds a slim lead over turner at 51 percent. Betts currently holds the lead among all outfielders at 35 percent.

But Dodgers players want to make sure to get the word out there to vote. They all showed up wearing these shirts before their game on Wednesday against the Rockies.

The Dodgers are hoping that they will have one of their guys on the mound to start the All-Star Game this year. But while many think Tony Goonsolin is deserving of the nod, ESPN’s Jeff Passan isn’t convinced. He spoke this week about why he thought Gonsolin should not get the start.

Chris Taylor is officially headed to the injured list. The Dodgers infielder/outfielder suffered a break in his foot after fouling a ball off of it over the weekend. There is no timeline for his return yet, but it will certainly be after the All-Star break.
