Dodgers Prospect Kyle Hurt Wins Midwest League Pitcher of the Week Honors
It’s always exciting to know who the Dodgers have coming up through the organization. Over the last couple of years, we’ve been able to see plenty of big names come through the system and make a difference on the big league club.
This week, Dodgers pitching prospect Kyle Hurt was rewarded for an incredible effort. He was named the Midwest League Pitcher of the Week for the Great Lake Loons. Hurt tossed six scoreless innings for the High-A team and punched out 10 batters.

Hurt was acquired by the Dodgers in the same deal that brought Alex Vesia out to Los Angeles. That deal sent reliever Dylan Floro out to the Marlins back in 2021. He was originally drafted out of USC by Miami in the 5th round of the 2020 draft.
