Dodgers Rumors: Howie Kendrick On The Trading Block Per Fox Sports

The Dodgers were recently in the news when they traded Carlos Ruiz to the Mariners for pitcher Vidal Nuno. Though this move was nothing ground-breaking, it definitely showed Dodger fans that the front office was making moves.

The next player who could be leaving Los Angeles is Howie Kendrick, according to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.

The Dodgers are exploring a trade of Kendrick, who grew frustrated with his role last season, according to major-league sources.

Howie Kendrick had a difficult season with the Dodgers, with a slash line of .255/.326/.366. Though the numbers show struggle, Kendrick stepped up to play left field almost every day when the team needed it most.

Ken Rosenthal also claimed that a few possible destinations for the veteran second baseman could be the Phillies or Angels, who are both lacking at second base. Many felt that Kendrick could be the Dodgers everyday second baseman in 2017; however, trading him leaves a whole there.

Will the Dodgers then pick up a guy like Ian Kinsler to fill that role? Will they re-sign Chase Utley, who showed that he brought value to the team both on and off the field? Let us know what you would like to see in the comments below!
