On this episode, we get you caught up on all of the latest Dodgers news and rumors. According to the Boston Globe’s Peter Abraham, the Dodgers top free agent Justin Turner is seeking a three-year contract.

Turner, 36, has been the Dodgers’ most productive hitter for the past seven seasons, leading the club in hits and home runs in that span. We discuss the Dodgers willingness to meet Turner’s contract demands and whether or not he is worth signing to a lucrative three-year deal at age 36.

Next, MLB Insider Jeff Passan linked the Dodgers to Liam Hendriks in his latest piece for ESPN.com. We take a look at Hendriks’ dominant past two seasons and discuss how wise it would be for the Dodgers to invest heavily in the most coveted reliever in this year’s free agent class.

  1. This is not an editorial. It’s an advertisement for your podcast. I hope you readers can tell the difference since your editors can’t. That’s the main issue with blogs integrity and quality. The correct label would be “ Podcast”, da!

  2. The Dodgers pulled JT off the junk heap and in a few years he made more money than most of us will see in 10 lifetimes. Loyalty appears to be a one way street. JT, Seager it’s all the same song. Yes, the Dodgers make a ton of money and the players deserve their fair share but I’m a little tired of actors and athletes being at the head of the line. Life goes on without them.

  3. The editorial is garbage! Hey Andrew, resign Turner and trade for or purchase a BIG Right handed Bat!

  4. The Dodgers should retain Justin Turner and get a 3 year contract out of him. He is the leader, the one who motovates everyone and is so useful. He is 36 and he wants to retire as a Dodger 3rd baseman. Keep him Dodgers he is so great!!

  5. Dodgers need to keep the heart and soul of their line up…justin turner. 3 year contract with first 2 years guaranteed and the third year to become guaranteed based off first 2 years stats and his health. He wants to be a world series Dodger champion again and so do Dodger fans. Justin will always hit…third, second base and dh will always be spots in the line up for him to continue hitting 300 plus using the whole field …go Justin

  6. Dodgers won’t resign Turner until Arenado is traded to somebody. I don’t see the Rockies taking on the Cano contract because they want to reduce their payroll, that would help the Mets, not Colorado. Dodgers need to sign closer Hendriks and then wait on Arenado/Turner either way Dodgers would be set up great for 2021. If MLB would decide on DH and say we will have DH in NL in 2022 team could plan on it.
