The Dodgers will almost certainly be on the hunt for some talent at this deadline. With bullpen arms overworked and starting pitchers hitting the injured list far too often, it seems likely that they would go after another arm at the deadline. But don’t be surprised if it’s a little bit more than that.
But there are a lot of big arms that could be made available this summer. One of those is Luis Castillo, who has long been linked to the Dodgers. And it sounds like if they really want him, they will be able to go out and get him.
But who would they have to give up in return? Our very own Doug McKain breaks it down for us and gives some insight on what it might take for the Dodgers to get the deal done.
Obviously, Castillo will come at a premium. But the Dodgers need arms and will also need to consider the future of their starting rotation. Castillo could very much fill a need right now as well as in the very long term.
