Dodgers Salvage Final Game of the Series And Head Home on a Happy Note

The Dodgers needed to walk away with a win against the Rockies on Wednesday night. After two very disappointing losses to a pretty bad team, they sent Julio Urias out to the mound. He hasn’t had a ton of success against the Rockies in his career and has had terrible run support all season long.

But that changed on Wednesday. The Dodgers got on the board early with a solo shot from Freddie Freeman. It was his 9th homer of the year and just added to the stellar run that he has been on over his last 13 games.

They added on 3 more runs in the 2nd inning with an Eddy Alvarez sacrifice fly and a bases-clearing double off the bat of Trea Turner. Will Smith and Cody Bellinger would both homer later in the game to seal the win for the Dodgers.

Up Next for the Dodgers

The Dodgers and Padres will play a 4-game series starting on Thursday night in Los Angeles. It should be a VERY good matchup with both teams vying for that top spot in the NL West, and it’s been a while since the 2 teams met up Mitch White and Joe Musgrove will get things started for their teams.
