Dodgers: Stadium Security Accused of Excessive Force and False Arrests

The Dodgers security team has picked up a bit of a reputation over the years. Lawsuits have been filed by fans, often alleging excessive use of force causing injuries to those involved. But those lawsuits seem to have reached a new level this year. 

The most recent update is that 3 different people are alleging excessive force against them at Dodger Stadium in 3 separate instances. All of them are seeking compensation for what the lawsuit describes as emotional distress and punitive damages. That would presumably fall onto the Dodgers. 

This video from KTLA shows a few different instances of the Dodgers security team in encounters with fans. One of them shows a fan that is on the floor and being held down by several members of the security team. 

So far, there have been no official statements released by the Dodgers. But this is certainly not the first time that their security has faced scrutiny. There was an initial lawsuit filed back in April from fans who alleged that security had asked them to exit their vehicles in the parking lot only to be assaulted by them. It’s unclear if this case is related to the latest round of lawsuits.
