Dodgers: Teams Interested In Brusdar Graterol, LA Still in on Kimbrel, Kershaw, Mookie Update

With the MLB trade deadline fast approaching, the rumors continue to swirl regarding the Los Angeles Dodgers. ESPN MLB insider, Jeff Passan, reported that teams around the league are interested in Dodgers’ fireballer, Brusdar Graterol. We discuss if the Dodgers would consider flipping the Bazooka for a more experienced reliever or if they should hold on to him with the hopes that he realizes his potential in LA.

Next, MLB insider, Jon Morosi, reported that the Dodgers are still interested in Chicago Cubs elite closer Craig Kimbrel. We discuss if the Dodgers could look to go all-in on acquiring Kimbrel if the team strikes out on landing Max Scherzer. Plus, Dave Roberts gives the latest injury updates on Clayton Kershaw, Mookie Betts, and Joe Kelly.

The Graterol rumors definitely seem out of left field, but these things happen around the trade deadline. When you step back and look at it, you have a fireballing young right-handed pitcher with years of control. On top of that, you don’t have to look that far back to find Brusdar high on prospects rankings lists. With the Dodgers stashing him in the minor league most of the season, it makes sense for teams to come calling.

The trade deadline is set for Friday at 1 pm PT. Even if the Dodgers somehow don’t make any major moves, there are some key pieces (Kershaw, Seager, etc) coming back soon that any team would love to add.
