Dodgers Thank Kiké Hernandez in an Emotional Video Tribute

Dodgers fans had to say goodbye to Kiké Hernandez this week when the utilityman signed a new deal. After 6 years with the organization, Hernandez signed a 2-year deal to go play for the Boston Red Sox.

Kiké posted his own tribute to the Dodgers and their fanbase last week after news broke that he would be leaving. In the video, Hernandez talked about winning the World Series and thanked everyone along the way.

This week, the Dodgers got the emotions going again. The team posted some of his highlights throughout the course of his career in Los Angeles, culminating in a picture of him hugging the Commissioner’s Trophy in October.

Hernadez leaves the Dodgers as a fan-favorite. He may not be remembered for the overall numbers that he put up, but fans and teammates will always remember the dynamic that he brought to the organization. He gets to leave a World Series champion.

Other Dodgers News

The Dodgers have not indicated that they DON’T have interest in Trevor Bauer, but his market seems to be moving slowly. Walker Buehler recently talked about Bauer and said that he was hopeful he gets to pitch in Los Angeles.

The Dodgers might be back sooner than we all thought as the Player’s Union denied the league‘s attempt to delay the season. In the proposal set forth by MLB, the season would have been pushed back to late April rather than kicking off Opening Day on April 1st. As of right now, the plan is to start on time.
