Dodgers: Trea Turner Wants to Play With Juan Soto Again

It’s the kind of thing that has Dodgers fans salivating over. When news came out that the Nationals might be interested in trading Juan Soto, fans out west couldn’t help but imagine what his bat in the lineup would look like. Spoiler alert: it would be absolutely insane.

So when current Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner talked about the potential of playing with him again, fans once again got excited. That came as Turner returned to Washington DC for the first time since he was traded to Los Angeles last Summer.

Turner was asked about his long-time friend and teammate and said that he is the one guy he wants to play with again. So if the Dodgers are looking for a duo to slot into the lineup around Summer, you cant do much better than Soto and Turner,

Of course, the Dodgers would have to either trade for Soto this Summer or sign Turner to an extension to make that happen. And for the moment, it does not appear as though they are trying to get a deal done with him before he hits free agency this offseason.

But it’s still very fin to think about. The Dodgers plugging Soto into a lineup that already looks like a superteam wouldn’t even be fair. But he’s also a guy that could get near the $500 million mark with his next contract. So we’ll see what comes of that in the coming months or year.
