The Dodgers continued their road trip in Washington DC this evening, starting off a 3-game set against the Nationals. And while there aren’t many storylines to this particular series, there is at least one that the media was all over.
That was the return of Trea Turner. The All-Star shortstop was traded to the Dodgers at the deadline last year and never got the chance to give or receive a proper goodbye from the place where he won a World Series title in 2019.
And when he stepped into the batter’s box for the first time, the Nationals’ fanbase gave him the respect he deserved. You love to see it.

Other Dodgers News
Max Muncy had just about one of the worst errors that you can have as a big leaguer on Sunday. With a 2-run lead and 2 outs, the Dodgers had a very good chance of getting out of it. But he booted an easy grounder and owned up to it big time after the game.
The Dodgers signed Blake Treinen to a contract extension, which is good news. But there are reasons to believe that the signing could mean something ominous for the 2022 season. Will we see him pitch again in 2022?
