Dodgers Updates: Cody Bellinger Taking Live Swings, Keibert Ruiz and Brusdar Graterol Ready to Go

The Dodgers are just over 3 weeks away from Opening Day in Clorado. That timeline gives them more than enough time to get some of the players ready who have fallen behind. Joe Kelly might be the exception to that though. 

Dave Roberts gave an update on a couple of the guys that have been absent from games the first 2 weeks. The Dodgers manager did say that he expected these guys to all be in games at some point witin the next week, which is highly encouraging. 

Keibert Ruiz Returns

The Dodgers have been without top catching prospect Keibert Ruiz for the entirety of Spring Training. Ruiz was a very late arrival to camp due to an issue with his visa. The latest update was that he was going through intake testing to join camp. Doc said that Keibert is in camp and caught bullpens on Tuesday afternoon. He should be in a Spring Training game by the end of the week. 

Brusdar Graterol Progressing

The Dodgers have been letting Brusdar Graterol get up to speed on his own time. The hard throwing right handed pitcher didnt get the chance to throw in the offseason as much as he wouldve liked to, so he needed some time. Roberts said that he will throw off of a mound in the coming days and that he is progressing very well. 

Cody Bellinger to Take Live Swings

Last but cetainly not least is Cody Bellinger. The Dodgers outfielder underwent surgery this offseason to repair some issues in his lead shoulder. He had been taking some swings in the cages, but Doc revealed he will take a live batting practice on Wednesday afternoon. Roberts also said that he still expects him to be back in a game by March 15th.
