During the Friday night series opener against the Chicago Cubs, the game started off as a pitcher’s duel. The first two innings featured Jason Hammel and Clayton Kershaw both locked in and kept the game a scoreless tie.

Then in third inning, Jimmy Rollins hit a one-out single and raced around to score on Chase Utley’s RBI triple that gave the Dodges a 1-0 lead. The 36-year-old Rollins may not possess the same speed he flashed in his younger days with the Philadelphia Phillies, but both he and Utley have shown impressive foot speed for players their age.

Nonetheless after scoring Rollins was shown in the dugout trying to catch his breath while drinking Powerade. Noticing a teammate in need, Yasiel Puig lent a hand by grabbing a towel and fanning off the 2007 National League MVP on a hot night at Chavez Ravine.

Puig also got Rollins a refill before the two shared a laugh and hug. This isn’t the first time Puig and Rollins have been caught on camera interacting, though previous instances typically revolved around the veteran sharing some wisdom with the 24-year-old Cuban native.

While Rollins continues his improved hitting since the All-Star break, Puig was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday after aggravating his right hamstring strain on an infield single in the eighth inning of Thursday’s contest.
