Dodgers Video: Yasiel Puig Shows Off Arm On Force-Play At 2nd

Despite struggles at the plate, Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig has provided the team with solid defense in the outfield.

Puig has cut down on his mistakes, focused on hitting the cut-off man and still has one of the best arms in the game. Even though he missed over 30 games, the 24-year-old came into Saturday’s game tied for sixth in the NL in outfield assists with five.



In the first inning of the Dodgers matchup with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Puig showed off that arm and added another assist to his stats. With Gregory Polanco on first, Starling Marte hit what looked like a single to right field, but Puig had different ideas:

The out proved crucial as the Pirates went on to score a run in the inning and tie the game.
