With two outs, Ramirez extended the Dodgers lead to 2-0 with a single to right field. Haren protected the lead in the seventh with a 1-2-3 inning and the Dodgers added to it in the bottom of the inning.

Crawford hit his second double of the game and came around to score on Juan Uribe’s single. J.P. Howell relieved Haren in the eighth and got some help from Darwin Barney’s diving stop, who replaced Turner at second, to sit the Padres down in order.

With Tim Stauffer on the mound, Barney drew a two-out walk that led to another RBI double from Crawford and the Dodgers took a 4-0 lead. It was Crawford’s third double of the night and he finished 4-for-4 in the game.

Kenley Jansen shut the door on the Padres in the ninth and the Dodgers won another series to set the stage for their showdown with the Giants.
