Dodgers vs Rangers: Betting Odds and Predictions for Friday Night’s Game

The Dodgers and Rangers will face off in game 1 of a 3 game set tonight in Los Angeles. Clayton Kershaw gets the ball for the blue facing off against Texas’ Mike Foltynewicz. And While the Rangers have struggled all year long, this could end up being a fun one.

The Rangers enter this contest with one of the worst offenses in baseball and a 24-39 record. Their bullpen ERA ranks right around the worst in the league at 4.44 and their starters have been even worse. It’s a good chance for the Dodgers to fatten up and make up ground in the NL West.

But don’t count out Mike Foltynewicz in this one. He’s not the same guy he was in Atlanta, but Folty can still pump a mid-90s heater along with a slider that opposing hitters have not done great with. If he’s on, it could be tough sledding for the Dodgers.

  • Rangers Odds: +260
  • Dodgers Odds: -350
  • Over/Under: 7.5

Predictions: The Dodgers are the clear favorites in this one in every way, shape, and form. But Kershaw is coming off of back-to-back really bad outings and that should be enough to bet these ridiculous odds in favor of the Rangers. If someone gives you +260, you probably take it and hope for a miracle.

But…the Dodgers will probably win this one.

Over or Under? A lot of it depends on Kershaw, but the Dodgers should be able to break through for more than a couple runs. Take the over tonight.
