Dodgers: Watch Trevor Bauer Strike Out Ronald Acuña Jr. With One Eye Open

Sunday was not the best day for the Dodgers in Atlanta. The Braves held them in check long enough to take the series win and send Los Angeles packing to Pittsburgh for their next series. But there was some entertainment.

Trevor Bauer promised a long time ago on his vlog that he would one day strike out Ronald Acuña Jr. with one eye open. The Dodgers pitcher famously practiced that while pitching in Spring Training this year.

He made it happen on Sunday afternoon. With Bauer on the mound, he got his punchout of the perennial MVP candidate. We have no idea if any Dodgers players saw it, but it was fun to watch happen.

Unfortunately for the Dodgers, that was really the only good part about the game on Sunday. They would go on to lose 4-2 and drop the series to the Braves. Not what you want to start out a short road trip, but they were able to salvage a win.

  1. Same old story with this team.Any decent lefty will shut this team down. Never got the RH bat that we desperately needed. We could be in for an ugly season.

  2. If the Dodger’s are “doctoring” th ball, it’s certainly not working. All I can say is thank heavens the Diamondbacks and Rockies are in the same division. Everything that went right last year is going wrong this year.

  3. Too bad they don’t win. Their record is atrocious for a team with this much talent and leadership and they’re a 3rd place team who can’t seem to get on a long enough roll to get back in 1st

  4. Justin Turner is or should be the go to guy about how he is hitting the ball consistently. Mr Turner is red hot. Trevor Bauer one eye pitch is interestingly a good idea. Eyes have different functions. So have at it
