The Dodgers finally get to host the MLB All-Star Game in 2022. After 42 long years of waiting, it comes back to Los Angeles. That also came after they were supposed to host it in 2020, but we all know how that went.
But it’s finally here, and Dodgers fans can’t wait. There is a whole slate of events leading up to the game, including some free events down in Santa Monica. But the Homerun Derby and the Celebrity All-Star Softball Game are always favorites among MLB fans.
So who is participating in the softball game this year? Well, there are a few names that Los Angeles residents might be familiar with. Rob Lowe is a regular at games throughout the season, and he will be playing this year. So we have at least one avid Dodgers fan participating.
As announced this week, the Dodgers will also have Jimmy Kimmel’s Guillermo playing this year. We also get to see Bad Bunny play in Los Angeles this year, which seems to be something that fans are very excited about.
In terms of former players, the Dodgers will be well represented. Andre Ethier and Shawn Green are both scheduled to play in the celebrity softball game. They’ll join CC Sabathia and Hunter Pence, as well as softball stars Jennie Finch, Lauren Chamberlain, and Natasha Watley.
Other names scheduled to appear: Quavo, JoJo Siwa, The Miz, Simu Liu, Coi Leray, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Bryan Cranston, Anthony Ramos, Chloe Kim, Desus Nice, JK Simmons, The Kid Mero, Action Bronson, and Jerry Lorenzo
