The future Hall of Famer has a 4-0 record with a 1.29 ERA in 6 starts with the Dodgers, proving there is still plenty left in the tank. And with Clayton Kershaw a free agent and Trevor Bauer’s status completely up in the air, there’s definitely an opening in the front of the 2022 rotation in LA.

  1. He has 2 years left and he will go to the Cardinals for less…from Missouri along with his wife…huge Cardinals fan…they have first tabs at him if they want him…but like everyone else they will have pay

    1. I’m not quite sure Freidman would let Schetzrr simply walk after this year, not after having to give up his 2 top prospects in the deal. WSS. I would think there would be some attempt at extending him if possible.

  2. We’ll see if the Dodgers go “all in” on pursuing Max after this season. I’m sure Friedman realizes that Kershaw is a bigger question mark now, having experienced the first significant arm related injury of his career, plus, May will still be recovering from TJ surgery next season. Bauer, likely, will never throw another pitch for the Dodgers and Gonsolin still have a lot to prove, especially with this being a lost season for him. The 2 constants for the future, are Urias and Buehler and that’s about it.

  3. after yesterdays loss to the Giants why not send down Bellinger, send down mCKINNEY WHOSE ANOTHER ZERO , and bring Matt Beaty back up at least he can hit and play the of & 1st base. & maybe a righty CHAPMAN!!!

    1. I agree 100%. I’ve been saying the same. Bellinger is nothing more than the return of AJ Ellis wearing number 35.
Everyone’s got the feeling another strikeout with two runners in scoring position is about to happen again. There’s no place to hide Bellinger, even on the bench as he sat yesterday trying his best to hide behind those big ass sunglasses.

  4. The Dodgers should offer Mad Max 90 millions USD for 3years deal. Trade Bellinger and Lux in the off season

    1. Sounds about right for Max. Questions is: what would any free agent want to play for Robert? So might take a few millions more for him to stay to deal with Roberts stupidity. Maybe the FO would do all of us a favor and get rid of Dave. The problem with trading Bellinger and Lux is that their weaknesses has been exposed and probably couldn’t get more than at best a couple of AA low ranked prospects.

      1. Robert is a terrible manager. His all-time winning percentage is only the best ever among managers with over 500 wins; he has led the Dodgers to only five first-place finishes in the West during the past five years; and he has won a so-called World Series (with another stolen by the Astros who remain unpunished by MLB). Sack him! Why keep the best manager ever (based upon winning percentage) when you can have someone who obviously will improve upon his results?

  5. Well mad max might be in first now after Buhler got knocked out early his era now second to mad max and winning % now went down has 3 losses like Urias and 3 less wins than Urias but still 5 starts to go him and mad max will go at it. Urias no chance with dumb roberts cutting his innings. We will loose Urias when he’s a free agent am sure he wants to pitch more than 80 pitches a game.

  6. SCHERTZER IS A THROWBACK TO REAL BASEBALL. HE COMES TO PLAY EVERY DAY. INTENSE—FOCUSED! A WINNER. HE HAS NO PEERS IN THE GAME TODAY. THE CLOSEST I SEE IS KERSHAW. THE DODGERS MUST HAVE BOTH SIGNED.

  7. Dave Roberts: Let’s see, what’s the weakest part of our team? Any reliever not named Treinen or Jansen. Who should I have pitch 3 games out of 5 in the middle of the season? One of those relievers, not someone who could develop into a good starter. When should I bring back Kershaw and Gonsolin? When the division has already been decided. Who should I play when Pollock is hurt or Betts needs a rest? Bellinger, McKinney, Raley, Reks or Souza.
