The HelpCureHD Foundation was created to help those suffering from this neurological disorder as well as helping aid in the journey to finding a cure. HelpCureHD was inspired by Lee Smith, mother to Joe Smith, pitcher for the Houston Astros, who was diagnoses with Huntington’s Disease in 2012.

The current bid stands at $25,000 to get the opportunity to have dinner with Buehler. So if you really want to make it happen, put it on your Christmas wish list! Buehler is currently the only Dodgers player with an experience up for auction.

The HelpCureHD Foundation was inspired by Lee Smith, the mother of Houston Astros pitcher Joe Smith. Joe and his wife Allie LaForce teamed up to helped start the foundation in honor of his mother.

Joe and his family have been greatly affected by Huntington’s Disease. In case you were wondering, Smith was not part of the 2017 Astros team that beat the Dodgers in the World Series.
