Former Dodgers All-Star Yasiel Puig Once Again Linked to SF Giants

Perhaps the best available free agent left on the open market is old friend Yasiel Puig. The Wild Horse has been without a job since the completion of the World Series last year.

While job offers have come and gone for the 2014 NL All-Star — even a recent opportunity in the Korean Baseball Organization — he has remained technically unemployed throughout the offseason and now 40-man roster freeze in baseball thanks to the pandemic halted season.

However, of the rumors that seem to be coming back to the 29-year-old, the hated San Francisco Giants have been the loudest and the most consistent. Now, once again, MLB insider Jim Bowden says these two are talking again.

This marks at least the third time the two sides have been linked since December and, obviously, it’s an ugly thought for Dodgers fans.

It’s fair to surmise that San Fran President of Baseball Operation Farhan Zaidi and the Cuban-born outfielder have already had a deal in place for some time. Once the freeze lifts, brace yourself for the thought of Yasiel Puig in orange.
