How are the Dodgers Doing?

On his bobblehead day, Matt Kemp put the Dodgers on the board early with an RBI single. It was Chris Taylor though, who provided the late-game heroics. He blasted a walk-off home run in the 10th inning to give the Dodgers a 1.5 game lead in the division. Clayton Kershaw’s start cannot go unnoticed, as the team’s ace provided seven innings, allowing one earned run, but walked five.

Why is this Game Important?

This game between the Rockies and Dodgers is the final matchup between the top two teams in the NL West this year. After this game, the Dodgers will stay at home to face the Padres, while the Rockies will head to Arizona. Colorado will only face teams with records above .500 to conclude the season.

Walker Buehler (7-5, 2.88 ERA) vs Tyler Anderson (6-9, 4.82 ERA)

The Dodgers’ rookie is coming off the best start of his career, where he allowed just two hits over eight shutout innings in St. Louis.

Tyler Anderson has struggled since the beginning of August, posting an 8.92 ERA over his last eight starts. He has not won a game since July 4 and has a higher ERA away from Coors Field this year.
