Instagram: Yasiel Puig Begins Offseason Training In Miami

With Matt Kemp, Hanley Ramirez and Dee Gordon gone, the Los Angeles Dodgers will need young outfielder Yasiel Puig to bring a bit more power and speed to the field in 2015.

Though they’ve found capable replacements in Howie Kendrick and Jimmy Rollins, the Dodgers need the 24-year-old Puig to take the next step in his career. Unlike last winter, Puig has been under the radar and out of the spotlight this year. Last offseason, Puig was seen all over at Los Angeles Laker games and celebrity events. This year has been tame, although the outfielder’s Instagram is still one of the best Dodger accounts to follow.

On Tuesday morning, Puig took to Instagram to show that he began his offseason training in Miami. Wearing a “Speed Kills” hooded sweatshirt, the All-Star is seen using a resistance band and hurdles as a part of his workout.
