Los Angeles Recap: Max Muncy, Pedro Baez, and Goodbye Kings

The guys over at Best Coast show are back again this week on our Facebook page! You can catch them every week discussing all sorts of Los Angeles sports topics.

The guys cover the hottest topics, including the booing of Pedro Baez. Baez has had a great season bouncing back from a rough season in Los Angeles. He has pitched in nine games and allowed just two runs for a 1.93 earned run average. He has also struck out 14 batters and walked just 5 in 9.1 innings. But buyer beware: he had a great start last year too.

The guys also discuss the depressing departure of the Los Angeles Kings from the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Kings were swept by the Vegas Golden Knights in four games, and all in close games. Just ten goals were scored by the two teams over the series, one of the lowest scoring series of all time. Hats off to Jonathan Quick and Marc-Andre Fleury.

Max Muncy also comes up, in his brief yet exciting first appearance in a Dodgers uniform. Muncy hit a home run and a single, but it seems as though he was hitting the ball hard every single time. There are a lot of people comparing him to Cody Bellinger, but…let’s slow it down a bit. still though, that amazing third base defense is something to watch.
