After Zack Greinke outdueled Matt Harvey and extended his scoreless innings streak to 27.2, the Los Angeles Dodgers now look to win the rubber match of the three-game set against the New York Mets.

Mike Bolsinger starts for the Dodgers, looking to bounce back from an outing that was cut short due to food poisoning. The right-hander managed to throw four scoreless innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks before succumbing to the effects of a queasy stomach.

Although Bolsinger has slowed down a bit from his impressive string of early starts in the season, he has been dominant at home. Sunday marks his sixth home start of the year and in the five prior, opponents have only batted .185 against him.

Bolsinger is 4-1 with a 2.25 ERA at Dodger Stadium this season. His only other career appearance against the Mets came last season when he tossed tossed three innings out of the bullpen for the Arizona Diamondbacks, giving up two runs on six hits.

Opposing Bolsinger is rookie Steven Matz. After being called up just over a week ago, the young 24-year-old left-hander had a great Major League debut last Sunday. He held the Cincinnati Reds to two runs over 7.2 innings while striking out six batters.

Matz also contributed with his bat, going 3-for-3 including a two-run double in his first plate appearance. The lineup he faces is heavy with right-handed batters, though still includes Adrian Gonzalez, who has hit a home run in each of the last two games, and Joc Pederson.

However, Pederson is batting seventh with Kiké Hernandez starting at shortstop and placed atop the order. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said prior to Sunday’s game the change is one he’s considered when previously facing a lefty. The decision was largely predicated on Hernandez starting, he added.
